Whatsapp - Gay, Bicurious, Bisexual Men's Self Improvement

This is a lifetime commitment. This is not like you wake up on Monday, you do nofap (also habit building) and then on Friday you forget about it.

Tip:

When I feel the urge to watch porn, I have somehow programmed my brain to visualize the aftermath of watching porn. So what happens to me when I watch porn? After I’m done with one porn video, done with masturbation, achieved orgasm, then the feeling of emptiness sinks in. A feeling of hopelessness, lack of self-control. This feeling of emptiness mixes with the feeling of powerlessness. The mixture of these two feelings creates a new strong platform for Depression and self-doubt. Meanwhile, I have lost so many hours of my precious time and reeling from a loss of mental focus on important things in life. While others around me have moved ahead in their lives and I’m lagging behind. This is how I visualize the aftermath of watching porn. This visualization technique has helped me stay away from porn.

You all may try this technique.

I will occasionally start sharing chill music youtube links in the group so it will help you all maintain high energy and remain focused. I will never share music videos or lyrics that might have sexual connotations in it. It will be strictly non-sexual.
Enjoy some chill music and visualize that you are making progress in life hehe  :innocent:

Use music to distract yourself from unwanted urges

Today afternoon while washing utensils, I had unwanted sexual thoughts. I did not engage myself in those thoughts. Instead, I stayed calm. I just observed those thoughts quietly like an innocent bystander, while they kept rioting inside my head, those thoughts were asking me for a response, I did not oblige. Gradually the riot lost steam and started to disperse, eventually disappeared. And I won.

Please remember this. For a moment let’s not waste time talking about external factors. We should take a good look into our internal factors where we have full 100% control, we always have a choice, we have freewill. This means, everything starts with a thought in our mind. If you can clearly identify that thought as “anti-life”, “anti-progress”, “anti-happiness”, “anti-long term”, then your internal response to that thought should be, “I will not engage with this thought because this thought adds no value to my life in the long term”. That thought will try so many different subtle psychological ways to get your mind to serve its negative purpose, but you should stand strong, fully resolute in your fight to improve your own life and future ONLY.

To all members,

This is how we play the game. First, we should know why we are doing nofap. We are doing nofap because we want to change our lives, it means, we are unhappy about our lives addicted to ■■■■ and masturbation. We want to improve our lives, there we need action.

Now the thing is, as per neuroscience and the brain, if you want to break a bad habit (■■■■ and masturbation), then it is easier to break a bad habit by building a newer, healthier daily habit like doing something creative or studying for exams without wasting hours, other newer habits can be going to the gym, reading, learning a global language like English, or learning a computer skill, anything that is giving you a spiritual or economic return in life or creating a life-sustaining value for you.

Creating a new good habit or sticking with everyday self-discipline routine or replacing your idle hours doing something productive will create neural pathways in your brain that will become stronger as you maintain the momentum to work on it every single day.

Now, what happens to your ■■■■ and masturbation habit? This is the neural pathway that you are targetting to break in your brain. So when you focus more on your newer habits, self-discipline, learning a new skill, or studying more for exams or engaging 100% with your extracurricular activities or any other productive work after study/work/office hours that fills the gap in your non-study or office hours, giving you no room for idleness. These create a newer neural path in the brain and thus BREAKS the old neural path that was built due to your ■■■■/masturbation habit. Because if the brain does not use that old neural path, it will be left unused, and when this pathway is unused for a long time, it will lose strength, decay, degenerate and just eventually break. THIS IS HOW you get rid of this ■■■■/masturbation.

This is what you will do in this game. To win this challenge, you will focus to build habit and/or stick with self-discipline on a daily basis AND avoid ■■■■/masturbation/idle time by keeping yourself busy with productive work.

When will you know you have Relapsed in this challenge? When will you reset counter? When will you set your streak number to Zero - 0 ?

  1. You fail to stick with your daily new habit or you fail to stick with self-discipline or you kept yourself idle BUT you did not watch ■■■■ or masturbate === RELAPSE.
  2. You maintained your daily good habit, you stick with daily self-discipline BUT you secretly watch ■■■■ or masturbate === RELAPSE.
  3. You fail to stick with self-discipline AND you watch ■■■■ and masturbate === RELAPSE

When you will NOT count it as Relapse? And NOT reset your streak number to Zero - 0?

  1. You stick with your daily new habit and/or you stick with self-discipline AND you DID NOT keep yourself idle at all AND you did not watch ■■■■ or masturbate === NOT A RELAPSE.

I have corrected the AND condition in our challenge. We cannot do OR because it won’t help us properly.

Absolutely right, we will achieve not only removing the addiction from our brain, but more importantly, create a habit of doing positive practices that filll the extra time left by quitting PMO.
