Morning Scripture

It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect.

Psalms 18:32 KJV

Inspiration

It takes strength to face challenges, and great strength to overcome them. Vicissitudes encompass our lives on a daily basis. It takes great strength to do well. But we know that humans are intrinsically deficient in this respect. When we try to be good to others or do other things that glorify God, we may fail in the end. Hence, the need for God’s strength.
The Psalmist expresses how the strength from God enabled him to live a blameless life. This means that while we aspire to do all that is pleasing and acceptable to God, we must accept His strength that helps us. You will never be able to accomplish the blamelessness you seek if you don’t put God in the equation.
Blamelessness infers righteousness before God. It’s the state of being at peace with God spiritually and morally. Believers have God’s Spirit who energizes us to do all that is the will of God. As Paul the apostle admonishes, we must choose to walk by the Spirit and not according to the flesh (Romans 8:5-6). The power of God for a blameless life is already released to us, and we get to enjoy its dynamism when we apply ourselves to His promptings.
Every day, God’s strength is available for your preservation. This is the free gift of God to you.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for blessing me with the ability to do what I could not otherwise do. I thank You for the quickening of the Spirit in me. By Your strength, I can do all things. By Your grace working in me, I can do every good work of righteousness every day without fail. I’m equipped with the strength of God to overcome all that the corrupt system of the world throws at me. I’m preserved by the Spirit of God and energized by God’s strength working in and through me unto the preservation of my soul. Thank You, Lord. Amen.

Morning Devotional

July 3, 2025 Thursday

Devotional Scripture

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.
I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalms 34:1-4 KJV

Let us Bless The Lord

Written by Frances Taylor

This is one of the psalms attributed to David. He is thanking God for rescuing him and promising to bless God at all times. He asks us to join him in his praises. He says his soul shall boast in the Lord. St. Paul tells us that we, too, should only boast in the Lord because it is he who always saves us. So, today, make a list. Make a list of everything that you are thankful for. Make a list of every success you have had and every failure you have survived. Make a list of every person who has helped you grow as a person and as a Christian. Now, look at it. Each of the items, events or persons on these lists are blessings from God. Either now, or before the day is over, bless and thank God for each of them. Ask God, also, to bless each of the people you have listed that you might be a blessing for them. If some of them are now with God, they would still like to hear you say thank you. God is so good to us all the time, and as one of my favorite people once answered, and all the time God is good.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank you for all the times you have been there for us even when we were unaware of your presence. We thank you for the people you have sent to us to help us grow and we ask you to bless them in turn. Amen.

Night Bible Verse of the Day

July 3, 2025 Thursday

Night Scripture

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

Hebrews 13:4 KJV

Inspiration

Written by Dr. Daniel Pandolph

We live in a culture that downplays the value and importance of marriage. Cohabitation before marriage is on the rise and younger generations are less inclined to marry than ever before. Today’s passage from Hebrews speaks directly to our culture, challenging our assumptions about the value, sanctity and significance of marriage.
Though some attribute the book of Hebrews to Paul, most scholars agree today that the author is anonymous. Whoever wrote the book was highly intelligent, writing a highly polished sermon. What was the author’s main point? Jesus is greater than any character or institution in the Old Testament; therefore, persevere under persecution and don’t give up. Throughout 12 chapters the author has encouraged the church to remain faithful in the face of persecution. The temptation to turn back to Judaism and reject Jesus to avoid persecution was significant. Here, in chapter 13, the author ends his sermon with some final practical application and encouragement.
Marriage in the Greco-Roman world, in which the author of Hebrews writes, highly valued marriage due to the societal stability it provided. However, sexual purity was traditionally not valued very highly. Adultery was common, with men provided ample opportunity to engage in sexual immorality and prostitution with very little recourse. Judaism and Christianity had a radically different understanding. The Greek word the New Testament authors use for sexual immorality, porneia, is a general word covering all sorts of sexually immoral actions. The author of Hebrews is not, therefore, just condemning sex outside of marriage, but all sexually impure actions outside the confines of the marriage covenant.
Notice what the author is highlighting here. First, he states positively that marriage should be honored by all. The word translated “honor” means to “esteem highly” and is used in other places in the New Testament to talk about the blood of Jesus Christ (1 Peter 1:19). Regardless of whether one is single, divorced, widowed or married, marriage should be honored and well-spoken of. Why? Well, marriage here is honored, not just because of its social benefits, but because it is an institution that has been created by God. Further, the author calls the church to sexual purity by saying that married couples should be “faithful to each other.” In marriage both partners are called to faithfulness as a picture of Christ’s own faithfulness and love for his church, which is his bride (Ephesians 5:21-33). The ultimate reason the author gives for remaining pure is the threat of judgment: “God will surely judge those who are sexually immoral and those who commit adultery.” God takes purity within marriage seriously.
Today, as pornography usage and adultery is on the rise, God calls believers to a higher standard. But what if someone is addicted to pornography or has had an affair? Is God done with them? The author of Hebrews has already provided an answer earlier in the text. Jesus is our perfect high priest, who understands our weaknesses and intercedes on our behalf before the Father. Therefore we can run to Jesus who understands our brokenness and offers forgiveness (Hebrews 4:15-16). This offer of forgiveness does not eliminate the need for sexual purity but becomes our reasoning to remain sexual pure-out of love for our merciful and kind God. We are not left alone, but God has given us his Spirit to empower us to attain sexual purity both mentally and physically.

Prayer

Father, we come before you tonight calling upon you for mercy. We are frail and desire things that are dishonoring to you and ourselves. We confess we desire to look at impure things, think impure thoughts, and do impure acts and gratify the desires of our sinful nature. These things displease you and we acknowledge our sin before you. We ask for forgiveness and empowerment. Forgive us where we have fallen short of your perfect standards and empower us, by your Spirit,
to conduct our lives sexually in a way that pleases you. For those struggling with sexual addiction, we pray for release and healing.
For those who are married, we pray that their marriages would be strengthened and honored before all. For those who are single, we pray that they will live faithfully and in a way that pleases you. Keep all of us from temptation and help us fix our eyes on Jesus in times of temptation. May the beauty and value of marriage be seen again in the West. May the true meaning of marriage, the love Christ has for the church, be manifest and so bring glory to you.
We love you Lord. Teach us how to love you more through our bodies,
minds and marriages. Amen.

Morning Bible Verse of the Day

July 4, 2025 Friday

Morning Scripture

But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

1 Peter 1:15-16 KJV

Inspiration

We can all remember the people that have taught us the most. People often exemplify the successful, rich, powerful, and beautiful, thinking that they will be happier and feel better if they were more like them. How often do we follow in the footsteps of the people that are the most holy around us? How often do we actively attempt to follow in the footsteps of Jesus? He gave his life for us to even have that chance and thankfully the Bible has written the guidelines for how we need to live our lives.

Prayer

My holy God, help me realize that I too can be holy through you. When I stray from the path of righteousness, I ask that you push me back towards the path, remembering and realizing all that you have taught me. Finally, I ask that you remind me of the sacrifices that you have made, giving your only son as a sacrifice so that I could also know what it is to be holy. In your son’s holy name I pray. Amen.

Devotional Scripture

And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
And he said, Lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou any thing unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

Genesis 22:11-12 KJV

Abraham’s Sacrifice

Written by Frances Taylor

Did you ever wonder what went through Abraham’s mind when he believed that God wanted him to sacrifice his son? Of course, at that particular time in history, sacrifice of the first-born was not unusual and seen as an offering to the gods who would then allow the rest of the children to live. Did Abraham think that God was like the other gods? We will never know in this world. But God did not want sacrifice in the flesh, but sacrifice in the heart. Abraham was prevented from sacrificing Isaac and was given a ram instead, and for his willingness was promised great blessings. What are we willing to sacrifice for God?

Today, in America, we celebrate our independence. Many men and women sacrificed a great deal for this to happen and many people all over the world have sacrificed a great deal for their independence, independence from tyranny, independence to practice their religion, freedom from fear. Isaac was freed so that he could become the father of Esau and Jacob and thereby the grandfather of Israel. Jesus has freed us, has given us independence from the tyranny of law by giving us the law of love to follow. He has freed us so that we might experience the joys of eternal life. We all have much to celebrate today no matter where we live, so let us thank God for freedom.

Prayer

Loving God, you gave Abraham back his son and you give us so much. May we always be grateful for all your gifts, and today, especially, we thank you for the gift of freedom of fear of death and the gift of salvation. Amen.

Thankfully, we know God always has our best interest in mind, even when life’s circumstances are not going well. We have hope in God’s plan for our lives because He will not lead us astray; aligning our lives with the will of God will bring us peace and comfort even in the darkest hour.

Prayer

Dear Lord, we are blessed to have a Father like You; we can trust You no matter what. Thank You for granting us peace and comfort in moments of darkness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Morning Bible Verse of the Day

July 5, 2025 Saturday

Morning Scripture

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Galatians 6:7-8 KJV

Inspiration

Good things generally happen to good people. If you commit good deeds, think good thoughts, and surround yourself with good people, in time you will be rewarded with a good harvest. However, it doesn’t take many rotten apples to ruin a harvest, so think carefully with, how you spend your energy, how you spend your time, and who you spend it with.

Prayer

Everyday we are surrounded with the beautiful reminders of your creation God: flowers, trees, animals, people. I pray that you make me work, to use me as a vessel to blossom and spread my gifts to the world, spreading your joy to all that encounter me, just as you did with Jesus Christ. His eternal harvest is one that keeps on giving, and I pray that you help me give all that I can in my time. Amen.

Morning Devotional

July 5, 2025 Saturday

Devotional Scripture

Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.

Philippians 3:8-11 KJV

Loss or Gain

Written by Frances Taylor

Paul is telling us and the Philippians that whatever he has suffered, whatever he has lost, it is nothing compared to what he has gained in Christ. Whenever we make changes in our lives, we lose as well as gain. When we move on from high school to the work force or to college, we will gain friends and lose friends. If we change jobs, we may even lose the ability to see our families as often as we had been able to do. If we change our religion or our religious habits, we also may lose friends or even connections with our family members. Christianity requires changes in our lifestyle if we are to be faithful to God’s will. Doing the right thing becomes more important than hanging out with friends who can lead you in a different direction. Attitudes can change and your behavior with them. You’re no longer the fun person who likes the dirty jokes who doesn’t complain about foul language, who won’t go to the x-rated movies, or engage in other activities contrary to Jesus’ law of love. What is lost, however, is so much greater, as Paul tells us. Faith gives us trust in God’s promises, freedom from fear of the future. We have been made acceptable to the Father through Christ.

Prayer

Lord, we have gained so much because of Christ. May we like Paul consider all we have lost as nothing and look only to what we have now though faith. Amen.

Night Bible Verse of the Day

July 5, 2025 Saturday

Night Scripture

My times are in thy hand: deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Psalm 31:15 KJV

Inspiration

God only wants the best for us. Even when life feels heavy and the path ahead is clouded with uncertainty, we must remember that His plans are far greater than our understanding. On days when we feel defeated, broken, or completely lost, we cling to the unwavering hope we have in Him. He is the light that breaks through our darkest nights, the steady hand that holds us when everything else feels like it’s slipping away.

In our pain, He brings healing. In our confusion, He offers clarity. In our silence, He whispers peace. There is no moment too messy, no heart too shattered, that He cannot restore. With God, we are never truly alone. He walks beside us, goes before us, and surrounds us with a love that never fails.

Our Lord is mighty and dependable—faithful through every storm, strong when we are weak, and merciful even when we fall short. When we surrender our lives to Him, we don’t lose ourselves—we find our true purpose. We find joy not in the things of this world, but in living according to His will. And in that surrender, we discover a peace that surpasses all understanding.

So we rest in His loving arms, knowing that we are fully known, deeply loved, and forever held. Let this be your hope: that no matter where you are or what you face, God is with you—and His plans for you are filled with hope, redemption, and unshakable peace.

Prayer

Dear Lord,
With humble hearts, we come before You, surrendering every part of our lives into Your loving hands. You are our refuge, our strength, and the anchor of our souls. Even when the world around us is uncertain, You remain steady—faithful and true.

Thank You, Lord, for Your unwavering love—a love that never gives up on us, even when we falter. You see us in our weakness and still choose to wrap us in grace. You are good, even when life is hard, and we trust in Your perfect plan, even when we don’t understand.

We lift our voices in praise, not because everything is perfect, but because You are. You are our peace in chaos, our hope in sorrow, and our joy in every season.

We love You, Lord. Teach us to walk in Your ways and to rest in the warmth of Your presence. Let our lives be a reflection of Your mercy and love.

In the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

Morning Bible Verse of the Day

July 6, 2025 Sunday

Morning Scripture

“For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.”

Psalm 86:5 KJV

Inspiration

Think about a grudge you’ve held onto. Maybe it started small—just a comment, a betrayal, a hurt that never healed. Over time, it grew, took root, and hardened a part of your heart. Maybe you told yourself you had a right to be angry. Maybe you still do. But ask yourself this: Did holding onto that pain ever bring you peace? Or did it slowly steal your joy, one day at a time?

Now, shift that thought to God. Imagine if He treated us the same way we often treat each other—harboring resentment, withholding forgiveness until we proved ourselves worthy. Where would we be? How could we even stand?

But that’s not who He is. God is not just willing to forgive—He is eager to. His mercy is not limited; it’s endless. Even when we fail Him again and again, even when we break His heart with our pride or disobedience, He looks upon us with compassion. He doesn’t shame us—He embraces us. He leads with mercy, not condemnation.

It’s humbling, isn’t it? That the God who holds the universe in His hands would still choose to forgive me, to forgive you, when we least deserve it. And in return, He asks us to do the same for others—not because it’s easy, but because it’s holy. Forgiveness isn’t weakness; it’s freedom. It’s strength born of grace. When we forgive, we reflect the heart of our Father—and we let His healing begin, both in others and in ourselves.

Prayer

Merciful and gracious Father,
I come before You today with a heart full of gratitude and awe. You are so good—so patient, so kind. Time and time again, I fall short, and yet, You never turn me away. Your mercy meets me in my brokenness, and Your forgiveness washes over my shame. Thank You, Lord, for loving me when I’m most unlovable.

You sent Your only Son, Jesus, to suffer in my place, to die so that I might live free from the chains of sin and guilt. His sacrifice is the greatest gift the world has ever known, and yet, I confess I often take it for granted. I hold onto bitterness. I let anger harden my spirit. I find it hard to forgive when the pain cuts deep.

But Lord, You have shown me a better way. You are not just the God of justice—you are the God of mercy. Help me to remember that. Remind me that every time I choose forgiveness, I choose You. Give me the strength to let go of what I was never meant to carry. Heal the places in my heart where old wounds still linger. Replace resentment with peace, and pride with humility.

May I reflect Your grace in my words, my actions, and especially in how I treat those who’ve hurt me. Make me more like Jesus—gentle, forgiving, and full of love.

Thank You for never giving up on me. Thank You for a new beginning today. I surrender my heart to You once again.

In the name of my Savior, Jesus Christ, I pray, Amen.

Morning Devotional

July 6, 2025 Sunday

Devotional Scripture

Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.

1 Corinthians 6:18-20 KJV

You are a Temple of The Holy Spirit

Written by Frances Taylor

This is a hard saying in today’s world. Sexual immorality is so rampant and public that few people believe it to be immoral! People no longer think of sexual behavior outside of marriage as wrong and, in fact, have no problem with going from one person to another quite publicly, broadcasting their behavior on social media and if you’re famous enough, on twitter, on TV, in magazines, etc. What happened to “Thou shalt not commit adultery?” I guess I’m old fashioned. I’m not about to condemn anyone who truly loves another and is faithful to them regardless of marriage, but I don’t understand and cannot condone random sexual encounters that are not based on love but lust, have no desire for permanency but are literally just to satisfy a sexual itch.

Sorry if I offend anyone, but if we believe that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit to be kept holy, how can we treat them as what – toys, prizes? I’m aware that women have often been treated as sexual objects rather than human beings, but men have also been treated badly and often have been given expectations that are false. Men and women are all created in the same image of God with the same free will and with the same purpose, to be the face of God in the world. And our God is not like the promiscuous gods of the Romans, the Greeks, the Egyptians or any other culture. For our God is one of unconditional love, and as he loves us, he expects us to love others and that does not mean using another for pleasure. I hope that someday, we will cease to promote immorality and be more concerned with our immortality.

Prayer

Lord, we have come so far from the people we were created to be. Help us to return to you and live your commandments with a renewed respect for the bodies you have given us. Amen.

Night Bible Verse of the Day

July 6, 2025 Sunday

Morning Scripture

“Let me not be ashamed, O Lord; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked be ashamed, and let them be silent in the grave.”

Psalm 31:17 KJV

Inspiration

There are moments in life when shame threatens to swallow us whole — not because we’ve done wrong, but because we’ve dared to trust in God in a world that often mocks faith. When we choose righteousness in the face of corruption, when we stand firm in truth while others follow the crowd, we may feel exposed, rejected, even humiliated. But in these sacred moments, we are never alone.

To call upon the Lord is not a sign of weakness — it is a declaration of faith. It is admitting that our strength, though sincere, has limits — but His power knows no bounds. We come before Him, not pretending to have it all together, but baring our souls in raw honesty, asking Him to be our shelter, our defender, and our guide.

God sees the cries we never speak. He sees when our hearts break under the pressure of life, when we feel surrounded by injustice, misunderstood by others, or weary from the weight of spiritual battle. He honors our vulnerability. He hears every plea whispered through trembling lips and every prayer lifted through silent tears.

And in His perfect justice, He promises that those who trust in Him will never be put to shame. The wicked — those who scoff at goodness, who spread harm and lie without remorse — will not have the final word. God will silence them, not with violence, but with truth. His righteousness will speak on behalf of the faithful. And in that day, all who called upon Him with sincerity will be lifted high, wrapped in the glory of His presence, forever unashamed.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
I come before You not with perfect words, but with a heart that longs for You. Lord, You know every burden I carry, every fear I try to hide, and every time I’ve been tempted to walk away out of shame, doubt, or exhaustion. But still, I call upon Your name — because I know You are faithful.

I ask You, Father, do not let me be ashamed for trusting in You. Do not let the mocking voices of this world or the silence of unanswered prayers drown out my hope. I’ve seen darkness, I’ve walked through valleys where it felt like no one understood, and yet Your Spirit never left me. Even when I felt abandoned, You were working behind the scenes, holding me together.

Defend me, Lord, not because I deserve it, but because I am Yours. Let not the wicked triumph over those who walk in Your ways. Silence the lies spoken against Your children, and lift up those who feel forgotten and small. Teach me to wait patiently on You, to believe that Your timing is always good, and to trust that every trial has purpose in Your hands.

Thank You for loving me even when I question, for drawing near when I cry, and for being my refuge when I am overwhelmed. You are my hope, my hiding place, and the One I run to when the world becomes too much.

Let Your name be glorified in my life, and let my trust in You be unshakable — because I know, beyond all doubt, that You will never fail me.

In Jesus’ holy and powerful name, Amen.

Morning Bible Verse of the Day

July 7, 2025 Monday

Morning Scripture

“Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil.”

1 Corinthians 13:4-5 KJV

Inspiration

This passage—so often heard at weddings—goes far beyond romance. It is the blueprint for how we are called to love not just our families or friends, but even those who are hardest to love. True charity—true agape love—is patient in the face of offense, kind even when kindness is undeserved, and selfless when our flesh wants recognition.

How often do we love with conditions attached? How often do we serve with the quiet hope that someone will notice and applaud us? But God’s love, the love we are invited to live out, is radically different. It does not envy. It does not boast. It does not inflate the ego or manipulate emotions. Instead, it chooses humility. It extends grace. It withholds harsh judgment, even when our hearts want to retaliate.

This kind of love—Christ’s love—calls us higher. It asks us to put aside our own need to be seen and instead focus on being the reflection of Jesus to someone else. And when we do? When we love selflessly, we find that the act of loving others heals us. It makes space in our hearts for peace, for joy, for God Himself to dwell.

Let us not be provoked by pride or bitterness. Let us not think evil, even in secret thoughts. Instead, let our love be genuine, sacrificial, and enduring—just as His love is for us.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, Source of perfect love,
Today I come before You with a humbled heart, asking You to teach me what it truly means to love. Strip away the pride that clings so tightly to my soul. Tear down the walls of selfishness and envy that I have allowed to grow. Lord, I long to love as You love—freely, sacrificially, and without the need for recognition.

You have shown us the greatest example: You gave Your only Son, Jesus Christ, not for a people who deserved it, but for a world lost in sin. That kind of love—unshaken by offense, unbound by condition—leaves me in awe. Help me to mirror even a glimpse of that love today.

When I am tempted to keep score, quiet my spirit.
When I feel the urge to defend my pride, give me the strength to be still.
When I want to walk away from those who hurt me, remind me of Your patience with me.

Lord, may I seek not my own gain, but the good of those around me. Fill my thoughts with purity, my words with kindness, and my actions with compassion. Let love be the banner over my life—the kind that suffers long, that shows mercy, that never gives up.

I surrender my heart to You again today, God of endless grace. Shape me into a vessel of Your perfect love. In the holy and selfless name of Jesus, Amen.

Devotional Scripture

Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

Luke 10:2 KJV

The Laborers Are Few

Written by Frances Taylor

When Jesus says that the harvest is abundant but the laborers are few, do you think he was only talking about his time here on earth, or was he talking about now as well? If statistics are correct, most people who identify themselves as Christian do not attend church on a regular basis. Where are the others? Where are the laborers who should be gathering the harvest? We need to pray for men and women to answer the call to minister to God’s people but we also need to pray for ourselves to reach out to those who don’t understand the value of what we have. Do you talk about the importance of your faith in God with others in your family, your circle of friends? I know that I was told as a child that the two things you don’t talk about are religion and politics, but why?

Perhaps when people were refused jobs or housing on the basis of their religious beliefs, it was necessary, but today? If you are in the market for a car – or a computer – who would you talk to? If you only talk to professionals, you might think you’re just getting a sales pitch, so you ask your friends or relatives what they own and whether or not they would recommend it. I’m not dismissing the value of those of us who are professionals in the faith department! But I am suggesting that each of us as friend and relative has more influence than we think. We understand how our faith gets us through the tough times. How we welcome the support of our community in times of joy as well as sorrow. We understand the value of faith in our lives. What makes us so afraid to talk about it? At this particular time in our churches and in our world, the need for laborers is great indeed. Will you go out into the fields?

Prayer

Lord, you have called us by our baptism to be your disciples. Give us the graces we need to go into the fields where you have sent us to bring your message of salvation. Amen.

Night Bible Verse of the Day

July 7, 2025 Monday

Night Scripture

“Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord.”

Psalm 31:24 KJV

Inspiration

There are moments in life when the weight of sorrow, fear, or uncertainty threatens to crush our spirit. We may feel surrounded by challenges—losses we can’t explain, prayers that feel unanswered, or battles that leave us weary in soul. And yet, right in the middle of those struggles, the Word of God gently whispers, “Be of good courage.” Not because we are strong, but because He is.

To hope in the Lord is to anchor our hearts in something far greater than what our eyes can see. It’s to place our trust in the One who holds all things together, even when everything around us feels like it’s falling apart. God does not promise a life without hardship—but He promises that in every trial, He will be present. His presence doesn’t always change the storm, but it changes us within the storm. He reaches into our fear and breathes strength into our hearts when we have none left.

And this is why we do not give up. We are not alone. Our Father walks with us—holding our hands when they tremble, catching every tear, whispering peace into the chaos of our minds. The more we trust Him, the deeper our relationship grows. We learn to rest not in our understanding, but in His unfailing love. And as our trust in Him matures, we find a boldness that is not loud, but steadfast—a courage born from intimacy with the One who never fails.

Let this night be a time of holy surrender. Lay down every burden, every fear, and every question, knowing He is near. Our hope is not in the outcome—it is in Him. And that hope will never be in vain.

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Tonight we come to You with hearts that may be tired, uncertain, or in need of reassurance. Thank You for being a God who never grows weary, who never looks away from our pain, and who never leaves us alone in the dark. Your Word tells us to be of good courage, not because we are fearless, but because You are our strength.

Lord, when our hearts falter, when fear rises up and faith feels small, remind us that You are near. Remind us that Your love casts out fear, that Your promises are sure, and that our hope in You is never misplaced. Teach us to surrender the battles we can’t fight and the burdens we can’t carry. Quiet our anxious thoughts and speak peace into our souls tonight.

We thank You for the storms that draw us closer to Your heart—for it is there, in the quiet of Your presence, that we are made whole again. We praise You for the courage You give us day by day, and the strength You pour into us night after night.

Wrap us in Your love as we rest. Guard our hearts and renew our spirits. We place all our trust in You, and we declare again that our hope is in the Lord—the One who holds us, heals us, and carries us through.

In the holy and powerful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Morning Bible Verse of the Day

July 8, 2025 Tuesday

Morning Scripture

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved; )”

Ephesians 2:4-5 KJV

Inspiration

There have been moments—dark, lonely moments—when I’ve cried out to God, begging for a sign. “Lord, just speak to me… show me something, anything!” I wanted certainty, proof, something tangible to hold onto. In those times, I felt forgotten, like my prayers vanished into silence. And in that silence, my pride whispered that God owed me something. But how wrong I was.

Then I read these words: “But God…”
Two simple words that turn the story of my life—and every life—completely upside down.

But God, who saw me when I was lost in sin, who loved me when I had no love for Him, who waited patiently while I wandered far from His path—this God, rich in mercy, poured out grace I did not deserve. He didn’t wait for me to clean myself up. He didn’t demand perfection. Instead, even when I was dead in sin, He made me alive together with Christ.

This isn’t just doctrine. This is the story of redemption, a love letter written in blood and mercy. A God who doesn’t abandon us in the grave of our failures but calls us out into resurrection life.
I realize now that I don’t need signs or thunderous voices from heaven. The cross is the sign. The empty tomb is the answer. His grace is the miracle.
And the very breath in my lungs today is proof that He is not done with me yet.

So I will no longer demand; instead, I will seek. I will no longer doubt His love, for it has already been proven. I will walk in gratitude, trusting that the same mercy that raised Christ from the dead is at work in me now.

Prayer

Gracious Father,
My heart bows before You, undone by the depth of Your love.
You are holy, sovereign, eternal — and yet You have looked upon me, a sinner, with compassion that defies understanding. You are not a distant ruler unmoved by our pain, but a Father rich in mercy, overflowing with great love, who came to rescue us even when we had nothing to offer in return.

Lord, when I was dead in my sin, You didn’t leave me there. You reached into the grave of my shame and rebellion and called me to life. You quickened me together with Christ — You gave me purpose, freedom, and a new identity, not by my merit, but by Your grace alone. I am saved not because I was worthy, but because You are good.

Forgive me, God, for the times I’ve demanded a sign, as if You hadn’t already proven Your love a thousand times over. Forgive me for doubting when You’ve already delivered me. Open my eyes to see the miracles You place before me daily — the sunrise, the breath in my lungs, the cross that still stands as the ultimate sign of hope.

I am clay, O Lord. Mold me. Break me where I need breaking. Restore me where I am broken. Shape my heart into the likeness of Your Son. Let me be a vessel of mercy, a tool for good, a living testimony of Your redeeming love.

I lift up this prayer not in my own name or righteousness, but in the matchless name of Jesus Christ — the One who died for me, rose again, and intercedes even now on my behalf.
It is in His name I live, I hope, I pray, and I surrender.
Amen.

Morning Devotional

July 8, 2025 Tuesday

Devotional Scripture

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Psalms 91:1-2 KJV

My Refuge, My Fortress

Written by Frances Taylor

When we are in trouble, where do we turn? Is God our first thought? Do we really believe that God is our fortress, and our refuge? From the beginning Scripture tells us to trust in God. From Adam and Eve, we find human beings want to trust in themselves first. When we fail, then we turn to God. Ever wonder what it might be like to turn to God first? If we turn to God and place our trust in him, it would save us a lot of unnecessary anxiety. The key is trust. We need to trust that God knows best, that he is with us through whatever is going on, that our prayers are being heard. The difficulty is that we think we know what’s best and we can get upset when God has other plans. We pray and don’t like the answer, or don’t want to wait for the answer.

I remember a story once told me about how we can miss God’s answer because it wasn’t the answer we wanted. A woman had to work to pay her bills and her mother got sick and needed full time care. She prayed and prayed that God would somehow take care of her problem. She couldn’t continue to work and still be at home with her mother. Then her boss called her in and told her that business had slowed down and he needed to let her go temporarily but that she was such a good employee, he was willing to continue to pay her during this period. She went out of the office and complained to God that he had not answered her prayer but had made things worse. She never saw that she now had the money to pay her bills as well as the time her mother needed so that she could heal. God doesn’t always do what we want, but he gives us what we need. When we put things in God’s hands – and don’t keep trying to take them back – we can relax knowing that all will be well.

Prayer

Lord, we say we trust in you but so often we get impatient and forget that you are there always at our side. Help us in our times of trial to hold on to that trust. Amen.

Night Bible Verse of the Day

July 8, 2025 Tuesday

Night Scripture

“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.”

2 Timothy 4:2 KJV

Inspiration

Paul’s charge to Timothy is not merely for one man in one time—it is a living call to all believers who bear the name of Christ. “Preach the word” is not just a pastoral command, but a commission to every follower of Jesus who carries the truth of the Gospel within them. We are urged to proclaim the Word of God boldly and consistently, not selectively or based on our feelings, but out of obedience to God and love for His people.

To be “instant in season, out of season” means to be spiritually ready at all times—when it’s convenient and when it’s not; when we’re energized and when we’re weary; when others are eager to listen and when they are resistant. The message of salvation and truth cannot be bound by circumstance. We are ambassadors of Christ, called to speak when the world would rather us be silent, to stand firm when others compromise, and to shine light in the midst of confusion and spiritual darkness.

Reproof and rebuke are never easy, but they are necessary. In a culture increasingly drawn to myths, opinions, and teachings that tickle the ears, we must be brave enough to gently but firmly correct falsehood. We do this not with harshness, but with humility and mercy—recognizing that we too were once lost and in need of correction. Every word of discipline must be laced with grace and driven by a desire to restore and build up, not tear down.

And through all of this, we are commanded to exhort—with patience, encouragement, and sound doctrine. Encouragement isn’t just flattery; it is the Spirit-led act of stirring the hearts of others to remain faithful, to endure suffering, to cling to hope, and to pursue holiness. We exhort with “all longsuffering,” which means we don’t give up on people when progress is slow. We walk with them, just as Christ walks patiently with us.

This verse reminds us that the Christian life is not passive. It is active, urgent, and deeply relational. As we preach, reprove, rebuke, and exhort, we must never lose sight of our ultimate goal: to glorify God by pointing hearts to Jesus Christ, the Living Word.

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with hearts humbled by the responsibility You’ve entrusted to us—to proclaim Your truth boldly, faithfully, and in love. Lord, give us the courage to speak Your Word without fear, no matter the season we are in. Let us not be swayed by the approval of man or the shifting winds of culture, but grounded in Your unchanging truth.

Teach us to be vigilant and spiritually alert, prepared to share the Gospel whether the moment feels favorable or not. Let our lives be living testimonies of Your grace and power, so that even when words are few, our actions reflect the truth of Your kingdom.

When we must reprove or rebuke, grant us wisdom to do so gently and rightly. Let us never act from a place of pride, but from a place of deep compassion, knowing that it is Your kindness that leads to repentance. Help us discipline with mercy, correct with clarity, and speak with the authority of Your Word—never our own opinions.

And when we exhort others, Lord, fill our mouths with life-giving words that encourage, uplift, and draw others closer to You. Give us the patience to walk with others through their growth, their questions, and their struggles—remembering how patient You are with us each day.

Father, keep us anchored in sound doctrine. Let us never grow weary in sharing Your truth, and let us never forsake the calling You have placed on our lives. May Your Spirit guide our speech, temper our emotions, and infuse our message with divine power.

We ask all this in the mighty and merciful name of Jesus Christ,
Amen.

Morning Bible Verse of the Day

July 9, 2025 Wednesday

Morning Scripture

“Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”

Psalm 139:23-24 KJV

Inspiration

There are moments when the weight of this world presses heavily on our hearts—when fear grips us in silence and anxiety becomes a familiar shadow. We worry about failing, about saying the wrong thing, about not being enough. We fear rejection, disappointment, pain, and even death. These fears, whether whispered or shouted, can entangle our hearts and distort our path.

But Scripture gently calls us to a higher truth: “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” (Psalm 139:23–24). It is a cry of surrender, a plea to the all-seeing and all-loving God to look into the depths of our soul—not to condemn, but to heal, restore, and lead us.

God does not intend for us to live in fear. The Bible reminds us, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7). He gives us the courage to rise each day, the love to embrace others and ourselves, and the clarity to walk in truth.

When God dwells within us, fear has no place to stand. “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear.” (1 John 4:18). His perfect love surrounds us like a shield, drives out the darkness, and restores our trembling hearts with peace. In His presence, even the deepest anxieties begin to unravel.

So today, let us open ourselves to God. Let us be honest in our brokenness and bold in our belief. For with Him, all things are possible. With Him, we find the way everlasting.

Prayer

O Holy and Everlasting Father,
Search me. Know me. I open my heart before You without pretense. Peer into the hidden corners of my soul and reveal to me what I cannot see. If there is pride, bitterness, fear, or anything that separates me from Your love—bring it into the light.

Try me, Lord—test the thoughts that swirl within me. Calm the storms of anxiety and fear that wage war against Your peace. I confess that I often try to carry burdens You never asked me to bear. But I know You are my refuge, my strength, my deliverer.

Lead me, O God—not into temptation, not into despair—but into the way everlasting. You are my compass, my true north. When I stray, call me back. When I fall, lift me up. I long to walk in step with Your Spirit.

I surrender all to You—my fears, my failures, my future. Use me for Your purpose, in whatever way You will. My life is not my own, but Yours. Refine me, restore me, and fill me with Your love that casts out every fear.

I praise You, my Savior, my Redeemer, my Friend.
Thank You for never letting go of me.
Thanks be to God, now and forever.
Amen.

Morning Devotional

July 9, 2025 Wednesday

Devotional Scripture

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Proverbs 2:1-5 KJV

The Important Things

Written by Frances Taylor

What is important to you? This proverb tells us what is necessary if finding knowledge of God is what we are searching for. When this is compared to the search for silver or hidden treasures, we see how diligently the search should be. What we need to do first is to listen to God’s word and to keep the commandments. If we look for wisdom with an understanding heart, we are on our way to finding God. But it seems as if not all roads will lead to this knowledge because we need discernment, we need to judge whether we are following the right path and with this comes understanding If we look carefully at this passage what we find is basically the Gifts of the Holy Spirit. The only things missing are fortitude or courage, and reverence or piety. We know today that these gifts are there for us if we choose to ask the Spirit for them. They are there for us from the moment of our baptism. These gifts are there for more than just the knowledge of God, they are there to help us throughout our lives. When we need strength to do the right thing, when we want to know what is the right thing to do, we can ask the Spirit for help. We need to remember that the Spirit is there willing and able to help us if only we ask.

Prayer

Lord, there are so many ways that you let us know that we are not alone. Help us to remember to call on you in good times and in bad, to give you thanks and praise, and to ask for your guidance in the decisions we make. Amen.
