🏏⚱️ THE ASHES [ENG VS AUS] {Series 1-1}

I am glad that we are playing this game with honesty and not unfair means… I too play with truthfulness even though I stay around my study table more than 16 hours, I reduce my time when taking a tea break or having my lunch.

COMMENTARY

Here is a drizzle and the Umpire signal that it is the end of Day 3 by dropping the bails off the stumps. A great day of cricket comes to an end and we must say that the swing day did bring some interesting sights. England had a hard time and the lower order could not withstand the ferocious Australian Bowlers who were very hungry for wickets. However, a few odds in the match did make the last day a bit more interesting.

Josh Hazlewood @piyushchandak did not have a very pleasant day and became an easy target for Joe Root @rajameghanan who did not stop until he had achieved his century. His phenomenal resilience outlasted the attempts of the Australian bowling attack and when England declared he walked back with head held high amidst appreciation.

However, Ian Bell @Tufail was the real saviour of the English batting line-up as he staked up another 50 runs to reach his 150 runs. There were a few loud appeals by Cameron Green and Australia even lost a review but Ian Bell simply had the hand of Destiny over his head and his own skills on Earth to rely on and keep moving. The crowd gave him a standing ovation as he walked back elated!

The rest of the batting lineup was not so impressive and just after the Lunch Break, they kept giving in to the traps set for them by the Aussies. The first breakthrough of the day came from Pat Cummins @surname as he rattled the stumps of Andrew Flintoff @Letsputanendtothis, who had no idea where did the ball come from.

The next breakthrough came from Matthew Hayden @TheWinningSpirit as he removed the dangerous Ben Stokes @DarkDLeo on a low score of 20 runs. He had a role to play and had he stayed back there was still a chance for England but sadly the floated ball did the trick and he completely missed the line as the ball spun in and took the bails off with it.

The final breakthrough of the day came in from Steve Smith @The_Ambitious_One as he asked tough spinning questions to Stuart Broad @wool, to which Broad had no answers.

So by the end of the day, looking at the weather and their tottering battling line-up, the Captain of England called back the players when the score stood at 227/6. No doubt, the score is low and there is a meagre chance of victory for England, however, anything can happen in the final two days and we must look forward to a great fight.

By the way, let us know your opinion as to who looks to be the more dominant side to you by answering the poll below.
