Diary (A New Arc) 25M

if you want to find out what you did during the day I recommend a method which I found in the book “The effective executive” by Peter Drucker:

He basically says a CEO was asked how he spends his time. He says he does 33% task management, 33% working on the companies vision and 33% on educating his employees.

The advisor said “Ok lets run a test, lets write a log book. Each time you complete an activity, write down the time when you completed it and what EXACTLY you did. No writing IN POST. Only real time, otherwise your subjectivity will screw it up and you ll end up with wishful thinking”.

He ran the test for a week and the log book was analyzed. Result: He spent 90% of his time interrupting his employees with phonecalls asking if everything is going according to plan and he took many, many coffee breaks. He was extremely inefficient.

You get what I mean. This seemed extreme to me, then I tried it myself and I arrived at a similar result. I thought I worked pretty much all day, then I found out I wasted a solid 40% of my worktime with useless stuff. You only find this out if you keep the log book rigorously, dont write anything in post, example:

8am: Start
8:00 - 8:15 (15min) fetching steel
8:15 - 8:35 (20min) cutting knife shape

etc. etc. Dont leave ANYTHING out. You ll notice your efficiency goes way up because you always feel watched xD

@everyone

Im trying to find advice I could give you for pmo success (my “streak” is a few hundred days, I dont count it anymore).

[to samaranjay ]
[ How could I help you… we started pretty much at the same point. And even during our shared pmo fight I didnt persistently win against pmo, I even abandoned fighting it for a while and then returned to escaping from it. So during this time I struggled too. How did I stop the struggle? when did it go away?

I think it went away when I found a purpose. I went to another place to work the whole day and follow something which I actually desire and which I wouldnt regret (blacksmithing/knifemaking). This was the game cahnger for me. I previously “needed” pmo because I was suffering meaninglessness, I needed pmo to distract me from the suffering, I didnt have real life content. Only distractions from the fact that I had an empty existence… When I found a calling I didnt need pmo anymore and the good perspective could finally take shape: ]

The good perspective (everyone read this):

pmo is empty and useless garbage. THis isnt just an opinion, this is the situation. Even after you give in to the urge and orgasm, youre still baited, fata morgana, you still didnt win anything. The witch (pmo) caught you. From this point onward (from the orgasm onward) youre caught and work on destroying yourself, your perception is switched, you think youre suffering when youre not hurting yourself (by masturbating). Absoute trash lies. Absolutely not the case. Escaping this paralysis is the task

FIND PURPOSE: Abandon everything if necessary, there is no more important thing than that. Not you, not your family, not your friends, NOTHING IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOU FINDING AND ACHIVING YOUR LIFE MISSION.

If you fast forward in your minds eye to being 70, how would you feel about the way you lived at your current age? Youre in a wheelchair or sitting on a bed and staring out the window and your mind goes back to when you were young (the time right now). WHat would you wish to have done? What would you regret? What would ache you? About what would you say "Darn it, if I could live again, I would have chosen MY way, I would have really lived and done “this and this” ". Then do this now. You WILL be 70. You WILL look back on your life. You WILL regret if you dont act.

ACT!

This is a text screaming at you, but you know in your heart of hearts perfectly well how dire the situation is. Its true, its real, you have potential and youre not using it. USE IT. USE IT. The perfect world, the vision that is meant to be, your DREAM. CAN BE REAL

go after it champion

Take a blank sheet of paper every evening and draw your perfect vision. What would you have? Who would you be with? Who would you be? What kind of person would you be, if you could be anything? YOU CAN BE ANYTHING. Stick to this riutal, every evening, take the sheet of paper and make drawings and write things, all things which you desire your life to be. Hang important drawings up in your room in a place where you can see them.

YOU MATTER! YOUR DESTINY MATTERS!

You going forward makes a real difference for humanity. ACHIEVE

@The_integrous_one If there’s anything I learned today is not only “It’s easy to fail and hard to win” but rather it’s “It’s easy to win one time but it’s hard to stay consistent on winning”

I believe that if I succeed on Nofap just for one day, I won 1 time. Every time you get pass a day you win, it’s quite easy to do that. So I just want you to know that you mustn’t make a specific day rather it’s 30, 90 or 1000 days to recover and win, you win one time in each and every day.

I’m saying this because one of our biggest brain excuses is “It’s to hard to win, the road is way too long” But you can change your Mentality and trick your brain to think that the goal is not long.

Just one day today and nothing else matters but one day. Every day is one day and you will find yourself at more than 1000 days

The trick is that there is no “way”. No “duration”. Youre not “holding out” for “a couple of days”. Youre leaving porn behind PERMANENTLY.

This eliminates any sort of struggle. Youre living this way permanently now. All thoughts on “going back to slavery” are useless. Youre free, you won today, today that you decided to be free

thats the secret to my “gigantic streak”. Its not a streak at all. Thats just the duration that passed from the time when I parted ways from my slave self and became a real person.

@NukePizza there’s something I understood in the last few days, I had your same Mindset before till I recently discovered something.

We often want to hear many stories about successful people and the habits that they caused their success, but the truth is, these habits might work for that person but not necessarily to you, and this have been proved throughout many people’s experiences including me.

For me, Success is like a top of a building, I climb the stairs and I reach many floors and within each floor I become more and more confident and my willpower increases, without these floors, the one and huge goal is way to big for me.

Each and every time I have the Mindset of winning one day at a time and staying consistent on winning I always reach more and more days.

I guess not everyone had the same Mindset for winning, they all choose what works for them and only them. @Zelus for an example had a mindset of increasing his streak duration from 1 day to 3 to 7 and so on till he currently reached 335 days

What I’m trying to say is that there are many ways for success, you just have to choose the easiest and the suitable way for you

@NukePizza thanks for taking time to read my posts and especially for writing this much to help.
The idea about writing daily tasks seems helpful, I tried it once and it actually got too hectic , when to write and when not? Like if I am going to fill water for 2-3 minutes should I be writing that etc. But yeah I get the point how it’ll work, it’ll eliminate unproductive time because we’ll be mindful about it.

About having a purpose, yeah I don’t seem to be having a long term purpose at the moment, Earlier I wanted to clear an exam with good rank which I did, and I wanted to clear that exam because I wanted a stable public sector job along with having sufficient time for myself so that I can work on my habits, playing etc. But now my mind is like even if I get selected there would I even lile the work? Or would I be just doing it for money.
Only thing that has the potential to drive me at the moment is seeing myself as a scientist working at Indian Space Research Organization, the job will be fulfilling there, but it’ll be worth it, I should be working towards that now, nothing else is driving me now a days.
I blabbered about my purpose lol, but yeah your point is absolutely right, other purpose I have is spiritual connection, it’s actually a hard one to quantify or specify, it’s like I don’t know myself what I want spiritually.
But yeah thanks I’ll be working on that, and I visualise my goals, but lately my visualisation process had become kind of repetitive and my routine mostly prioritizes pleasure.
Actually great thanks for specifying how to create a purpose for yourself, look at when you’ll be 70 years old, what would I think back on. This is really helpful.

Plus I completely agree on easy peasy advice on making a decision once and for all, it has worked for me in past but lately I am finding myself unable to take that decision. It’s probably because my mind aches for a partner and I am not in a place at the moment to find one. Idk what to do about that, I need to be patient that’s all I can do actually.

Anyway thanks again.

@Binocular I agree with you as well on the point that different things work for different people. It’d be best if you can find the thing that works for you.

I took a long sleep last night, I was tired probably because I’d been playing a lot and probably because of relapsing as well.
Today as well I played a lot in evening, at a point it was just 3 members in my team and 5 in other, full court :skull:, It was like I didn’t stop running for a second :joy:, we still won by 2 points.
I didn’t find time for any habits today, I had to fill one application form, enroll in an interview related course (mainly for mock interviews, both technical and HR), and also bought a book for question practice.
After playing in evening, we all did kirtan and then watched some tv with family while having dinner.
Oh I forgot to mention I started Rick and Morty, it’s an animated Sitcom, I only watched one episode but it was hilarious af, I’m planning to watch just one ep per day (20min ep).
That’s about it. Plus I don’t have any no fap motivation at the moment. I know I’m ruining myself by relapsing but my mind doesn’t agree. I need to work on this.

Ah man, I didn’t play today but I had so much fun reading today’s journal. If @The_integrous_one’s diary was a movie, it would be called “Damascus movie”

I had an account on one nsfw site, I went to delete that moments ago, it can be termed as a kind of peeking but I needed to do that, so starting afresh now.
Morning time is the best to take positive decisions about your life, now I’m gonna journal about some things that I am actually not comfortable in sharing openly.

I had been finding myself stuck with this addiction, then I came across the quote ‘loha hi lohe ko. Kaat ta hai’ means ‘iron cuts iron’, it can be used as a metaphor for ‘only an addiction can cut another addiction’, so get some good addictions, like focusing on your goal, working out etc. Only that can cut your bad addictions

Plus I’ve been finding myself overwhelmed with a long list of habits, especially affirmations and visualisation have been feeling useless, I need to redefine some of them so that I feel connected to them.

For now I’ll journal, workout, bathe and go to Guri Ji’s Ashram because there’s a Bhandara (Big public lunch) there

Bruh I know thanks , I actually relapsed two days ago, and at that time I created an account there, it was creating a mess in my mind that’s why I took this step to delete that account. It helped me in taking the decision to leave everything behind once and for all. I know what peeking does to our brain.
Thanks for the concern.
