Am not a pro brother all i know is this

Commitment is making a solid decision more like a vow to never do PMO

Sexual Energy Transmutation involves that sexual energy into something else Productive like working out…etc…

Mindset is how your mind operates on the subject of PMO how you view quitting, it realy involves your belief and what your mind is inclined to

In my humble opinion, I don’t think “being a pro” is proper way of framing your mind if your want to “quit” it.

There’s is this one thing that’s what solid in my mind - would you need to make a vow not to eat cyanide for the rest of your life? You wouldn’t and that’s the same with PMO for me. Best to leave it behind and open a new chapter in your life.

Anyhow, my question was mostly about how You, personally, implement these in your life

The way i said it is not like you are swearing in front of the court of law or something when i said about making that decision means having no doubt about it, not feeling deprived, left out or feeling like you are making a sacrifice

Personally i realize them by having no doubt the decision i made, and it’s not like when you make a decision that you won’t do PMO you won’t do it, No… you’ll be a sitting duck if you do nothing that is why i said it’s a pillar not the complete foundation there are other pillars you must also build up and maintain.

The part on sexual Energy Transmutation, personal i exercise, work and read books in general i focus on Productivity because when am not doing PMO am saving energy and time so i have to use that energy and time to something productive

And lastly on the Mindset pillar i uphold it my doing Self-talk which helps me address my emotion (particularly urges) because tbh I’ve tried other methods before like taking a walk when i get an urge or pushups i even took cold showers but still i was just delaying like it stopped only at that time only to comeback again stronger, i also listen to EasyPeasy it has helped me a lot too

And when i said am not a pro i didn’t mean being a pro is a condition in quitting PMO, i only said that because i didn’t want anyone think like am a Life Coach or someone who is an expert in dealing with addictions. I am just giving what i learned from successful rebooters also an expert who’s known by many (Mark Quepett)

Many thanks, man, for all the clarification! I raised all those questions just to see more clearly your approach and I guess I fully agree with how you put it.

Perhaps there is small difference in our self talk approaches. I’m actually taking the Morpheus path. You may have seen Matrix movies. There is this scene where Morpheus and Neo are fighting. The line I’m starting from is “Don’t try to hit me, just hit me!” In my mind I’m no longer trying to say “I should not watch porn”, but rather “I am not a porn watcher” - it’s not something to be done but a thing that’s already happened. That’s all ^^

Keep on going on your journey, I love your approach and the feeling of commitment your posts give!
