No porn edging to test PC muscle endurance

If I practice edging on a weekly basis to test my PC muscle endurance does this count as relapsing? I don’t know if I would give up my PE routine for this.

Edging is like an alcoholic hanging around in a bar. You don’t edge, else you’ll relapse sooner or later. :slight_smile:

why do you have to test your pc muscle?

@neveragaintw The reason why one would want to edge on a regular basis to strengthen and test ones pc muscles, is because this will eventually lead to the ability to seperate ejaculation and orgasm.
This means that with a lot of practise he will learn to have sexual intercourse for as long as he wants, for any hours even. This also leads to ability to have multiple orgasms without ejaculating and thus loosing energy and feeling empty afterwards.

And he truly does have a point there, but if I would talk from personal experience becourse I didn’t want to give up my pc exercises before either. So I was in the same place where you are now.
As long as I could practise without thinking about porn it didn’t really mess with me that much, I’d even go so far as to say that it helped me stay away from porn. BUT that only worked when I was strong enough to edge without thinking about porn and strong enough to stop when I started to fantasize about it.
If you can do that, my advise is to go on. But If you fantasize about porn in anyway while doing it then stop and start again when you feel you can do it without fantasizing.

I’ve been thinking about this a lot during the last half year since it pops up in this forum every now and again.
I have some thoughts on that just seem weird to me:

  • You wanna have sex for a long time with multiple orgasms (without ej.) to save energy.
    to me that seems like if you said that you don’t wanna run a 5k race because there, at the end, you have to do a final sprint which is hard. Instead you run a marathon because there you don’t have to waste energy for the final sprint since you don’t have to do one.
    You use so much more energy by having sex for an hour then you would if you ej. after a shorter time
  • For me, this always sounds like doing a huge mess with your hormones. The problem we have with porn is, that it is a high dopamine output over a long period of time since we often edge while fapping because we wanna watch porn for 2hrs or more. So, you have a high dopamine level for a long time which means that the everyday life gets boring.
    Every time I hear the things about sex for long time it sounds for me as exactly the same. You have sex for a long time which means a high dopamine level and you’re basically edging constantly because you have to check that you stay hard but you mustn’t cum, you have to get closer to orgasm but then push it away.
    For me, that sounds very unhealthy
  • Why is it advantageous to have sex for an hour straight or more? I can’t see why I should enjoy having sex a whole morning.

I guess I am only doing this for reasons outside of the bedroom. I can already last 4+ hours after my 3rd refractory period, so I’m set in that department. But I will try to avoid edging, unless I can do it without thinking about porn (not sure how I would go about doing). At the moment it would probably be too much of a temptation, and ruin my progress.

Oh and the reason I have trained my self to have sex for so long was because one of the girls I dated never had an orgasm, so I made it my mission to learn how to make that happen for her. I did and took it beyond that.

Ok, so it turned out to be a bad idea. Definitely stopping the edging. But I did notice my refractory period dramatically increased, not so happy about that.
