NO NUT MAY (ONLY FOR COURAGEOUS TITANS)

On 18 May, i done a detox. It was hard in the morning, but as the time passed i got used to it. I want to share my experience.
BEFORE DETOX: From past few days I Had been struggling with withdrawal symptoms. Was getting severe mood swings and agression throughout the day, very unproductive and struggling with urges.
ON DETOX DAY:
well i was not using any gadgets, so i find myself more present, more calm. My creativity sky rocketed. I got back to drawing which ive left for several months now, i also started writing. i will share some of my work later in this thread. The whole day went like this and i dont know why i was not able to sleep after detox, i just got 1hrs of sleep.
TODAY:
With just 1hr of sleep on me, i started my day at 5:00am which is very unusual for me and i did all morning chores perfectly, was getting sleep deprived so i took a 30min nap. Throughout the day i found myself more aware of my actions and was not much interested to go back to youtube binging, movies etc. I found peace with myself. Got a productivity of 4.5hrs study+1.5hrs other works.
Had literally 0 urges throughout the day.
TO SUM UP i would say THis SHiT DEfiNiTely WORKS!!!
Gonna do this every week. A great Urge killer

Me too. But I found a useful alarm app from the playstore called Amdroid. You can’t snooze until you solve a 3 digit multiplication, so after solving it your mind becomes active. What I found useful is, I increased the difficulty level of multiplication in the settings, and when I go to bed I would place a paper and pen near my phone, when I get up I would take the paper and pen and solve 2 multiplication sums & it takes me out of the laziness. Thanks to the Almighty, this habit has become a routine, every morning my hands automatically take the paper and pen & finish the sums and then I continue with my studies.

@Deadpoolgupta its very important to wake up in the morning brother. How our day starts will have a drastic effect on how that day would be. Iam also struggling with it brother. Keeping your phone away after putting alarm will help. Because you’ll have to stand walk there and switch it off. Going to sleep early, not using technology atleast 1 or 2 hours before sleeps etc works. But at the end of the day, we have to take responsibility and take decision. Its also like resisting the short term pleasure of porn. We should resist the short term pleasure of sleeping dear brother @Deadpoolgupta .

Well I started writing these days and it helps very much. The power of my own written quote is exponentially larger than internet quotes. During my first massive urge this quote was playing on loop in my mind and helped me. I suggest you to do the same it’ll hardly take 5mins of your day

Hi guys, I have this bad habit of taking a nap of 2-3 hours in the evening. Then, as a result I could not fall asleep till 2 am at night and wake up at 6-7 am. I want to kill this habit of taking a nap of 2 hours in the evening. At that time, I get this strange urge of taking a nap everyday. Any suggestions guys.??

Do something that interests you, maybe a hobby. I personally study an interesting topic during afternoon so I don’t doze off.
And taking a short 20min nap helps to reenergize your mind. I also find it useful

I’ve adopted this habit of cold showering for about a year now I do it to not only feel refreshed or alert but to block urges and more recently this month I’ve started stretching and I’ve been seeing a difference in my flexibility as each week passes.
