Why I am looking for an accountability group- I have tried nofap solo for a couple of years now but I always end up deceiving myself into relapse. Today I have had enough and decided to not fight this battle alone. I’m dead serious about this and I intend to quit porn for good whatever it takes.

Day 4 - clean and 0 urges. No fap success is not owned but rented and the rent is due each day. Don’t let a good streak fool you into forgetting that. Every day should be like day 0!

I suppose one thing that helps in the long run (especially with irrational thinking) is to develop a delayed gratification approach to things in life, not just nofap. Try being patient with things and try to seek the long term benefits of them - like saving that piece of chocolate for an occasion, or investing your money instead of spending it on immediate pleasures, or taking your time to slowly get better at programming - bit by bit, day by day, you adopt a delayed gratification approach where you consistently give up short term pleasures for long term ones. This could perhaps help with our nofap struggles too.

Same here last night :disappointed_relieved:. YouTube was my trigger so I’ll cut it out. This ‘chaser effect’ always gets me after longer streaks. So disappointing
