Hello everyone I am starting this journal to better myself and add a lifetime of self-disciplined to this entry. The title of this is IronWill, Still I Rise because I want to be able to overcome my urges even though I am 108 days clean. I will be starting my title at each entry with this example:
IronWill, Still I Rise
November 15, 2024 Friday
08:00 pm Eastern Standard Time
Summary
Day 1 of 90 NoFap Streak:7 days Stage 1: 0 to 90 Days
I will be following a Stage Standard to rise above and beyond what I am supposed to be everyday. Here are the Stage Standards:
Stage Standards
Stage 1:0 to 90 days - The beginning of it all. You have just begun the step of resisting urges. In this stage you resist the urge to masturbate. So to resist the urge not have a brain sickness. (Brain Sickness: the issue were dopamine is rushed into the brain after sensational pleasure.) To accomplish this stage there is a cure for brain sickness. (The Cure: Do something creative and enjoy the dopamine pleasure. (Ex: listening to music, reading a book, and listen to your breathing).
Stage 2:91 to181 days - This stage is all about controlling your emotions. To achieve this stage you must first accomplish resisting urges. The emotions will go every were but the resistance is still there. So get control of your emotions just take 15 minutes a day and sit outside in the sun and listen to your breathing. If you can do this in the first stage then your emotions will not go every were.
Stage 3:182 to 272 days - Self control this stage is hard to get to. So to achieve this stage you must resist the urge and control your emotions. Self control will be the very least of your worries at the moment of this stage. For to accomplish this stage you must have the ability to listen to your heart. For believing in yourself this stage will be the easiest to control.
Stage 4:273 to 365 days - Now this stage is self-discipline. Self-discipline is going to be the hardest to accomplish. You must achieve God mode. This stage begin with feeling better and a sweet rush of relief. Self-discipline is to control everything about you. Don’t give in and don’t give up.
So in conclusion these stages will be my roadmap to victory. Believe in yourself and these stages will be the guide of the future. Just find yourself in one of these stages and you will have a better life.
God bless y’all and don’t give up hope. Keep Fighting and know that our Redeemer lives.
Best of luck brother ahead waiting for your journal entry in a very clear way. Nice to see you’ve started a diary after 100+ days of streak. This diary will give hope to new ones
All the very best to you @Believe_100 brother! 110 days streak , keep going brother and keep setting new heights ! Perfect title of your diary , IronWIll
Hey Believe,
God sees your efforts and will help you through this journey. He will always be by your side. Keep thinking of Him in your efforts and rely on His strength. This way you will succeed in everything.
God bless you brother.
Praise God for His unconditional and undeserving love.
I have another journal but I might do away with it because now i stand on IronWill.
No Brother I will not give up. I will stand strong and God will help me through my struggles. This is the point for my title IronWill.
Yes Brother God sees all and knows all. This journey can’t be taken lightly because I will walk the path that Christian (from Pilgrims Progress) has taken and walk the straight and narrow path. The same reason for my title “IronWill” I will stay true to God against all odds.
1 He who would valiant be
'gainst all disaster,
let him in constancy
follow the Master.
There’s no discouragement
shall make him once relent
his first avowed intent
to be a pilgrim.
2 Who so beset him round
with dismal stories,
do but themselves confound—
his strength the more is.
No foes shall stay his might,
though he with giants fight;
he will make good his right
to be a pilgrim.
3 Since, Lord, Thou dost defend
us with Thy Spirit,
we know we at the end
shall life inherit.
Then, fancies, flee away!
I’ll fear not what men say,
I’ll labor night and day
to be a pilgrim.
Thanks. This is a lovely journal you got. Im pretty nervous right now i think, since im shaking a bit not knowing why. But i cut my own hair and i think i feel the constant approval of other hard to mute in my mind. But i also feel confident that i am my own judger. The no PMO does help to remove some of the nerves.
I want to pretend that I am 7 days clean. The reason I started there is because the energy is starting to fuel me at day 7. I would like for y’all to pretend that I am a new user learning the ropes on this forum. I want to start at the beginning of stage 1 and continue from there. Even though I am 108 days clean it still feels like I am on day 1 - 7.
I am 7 days clean and the urges our strong. I must not give in to my urges. This is my first time writing a journal. I am not perfect, and I am not going to give in. I am staying clean for the next 3 days because I want to reach day 10 and accomplish more than what I am now. IronWill I will stay strong in this fight and I want give up. I want to share something with y’all I was thinking about I am thinking that all of should have a shield of IronWill because we need to break this bad habit and ask those that we have hurt emotionally for forgiveness. I want to be stronger now, and want to put on the armour of God to fight the devil with God’s help.
I must be decisive about what I look at for the fight not only is with the spirit but also with the internet. You could one day be looking up something on Google Search and when you find what you are looking for this an ad comes up that turns your urges haywire. Think before you act upon that feeling of regret. In my Navy days I had a quote that I remember “Suffer the Pain of Discipline or Suffer the Pain of Regret” it was for my Navy days but now I use it for NoFap.
My most treasured moment in this NoFap Journey is that I must set a goal that I can reach for. When I set a small amount of at least a 5 day challenge I can accomplish what I set out to do. My life now is better sense I am this far along. I want to put on the full amour of God.
Ephesians 6:10-18 (KJV) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Hello everyone how is everyone doing tonight? Me I say fair. Now I to begin to tell you about day 8 of NoFap Journey. Day 8 is after day 7, the fueled energy is gone. You might feel tired and sluggish but as soon as you reach day 15 that is when the drought period seems to affect. Day 8 is a mountain that must be climbed for purpose and stability. Your brain tells you that you will fail but you must not give in to those urges or that will break the rules. Now I would like to place some rules that has helped me and I encourage you to read them carefully.
Rules for NoFap
Surrender your will to Jesus.
Don’t even feed the urge because it will grow.
Don’t search anything on the internet that is inappropriate.
Be disciplined and fight until you can fight no more.
Contemplate what you are thinking and erase what is not appropriate.
Do things to open your mind to new possiblity.
Don’t even have fantasies that fuel that urge.
Stick to a certain amount of days to challenge yourself. (Begin with at least 5 days and build from there).
Take each day as they come and don’t worry about the numbers.
Get plenty of sleep and if you sleepy during the day take a nap.
These ten rules always got me through those days and if you want to apply them and use them feel free. To begin this journey from the beginning you have a set of rules. I have wrote these rules down and if I think of anymore rules I will write them in this Journal. To accept a small amount of challenges for yourself you must always not be overconfident of where you start. Always find some way or another to overcome this ridiculous habit. I want to tell a story about a prisoner: this prisoner was in jail for a crime he didn’t commit. This prisoner was sentenced to death by injection. Until about 20 years later someone came in and confessed to the crime. The prisoner was set free after the one that committed the crime was put in jail. So you see my friends the morale of the story is that we can overcome are habits if we confess and send the bad habits back to where they belong.
There is also another way to think about the bad habit. Imagine just for a moment that you were sentence for PMO. You were put in jail for this crime and you couldn’t be released until you have had a certain amount of days clean. When you are released and you go back to the habit then you are sentenced for a longer period of time to make sure that you do come clean. That is when you say this is enough I don’t want to be in jail anymore. But you stay in this habit then you bound by chains for eternity.
So you see my friends stay strong and don’t give up. Fight this until there is no fight left. Just as Joshua said in Joshua 1:9 (KJV) Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. I say my friends place all of your hope in Jesus, because He is the one that can and will redeem you from this.
1 Corinthians 10:13 (KJV) There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen.
Amen, Brother! Lot of good advice that you’ve given! I still need to work on Rule 10. I’m bad to be a bit of a night owl, and I always pay for it the next morning when I wake up. Rule 8 has been extremely valuable to me, and it’s funny, because I didn’t think it would really make a difference, but it does! God bless you, Brother!
