Thank God I have no single thought about porn, but even a slightly revealing girl could make uneasiness in my soul and mind.

Maybe taking a walk or taking a cold shower could help.

It gets easier, but you have to cut yourself off from even the slightest triggers, social media, less movies or series, and even turning your gaze from real life woman, after 21 days it gets easier, control your thoughts also, just redirect your thoughts to anything else that’s important in your life.

Like Meezmeister said, you have to cut off everything that triggers you off. Unfollow hot models on Instagram, blocking off certain content from social media, avoiding shows, movies with too much nudity or too sensual.

I cut off a ton of things since the beginning of nofap, it does get easier and thoughts are less frequent.

Yeah man, I think it’s the only way to not get any of the urges during initial stage, keep everything blocked until that day you feel great, for me it took around 25 days … and now I’m on a 50th day streak and I’d still kept every social media turned off. I think more than 50 percent of the relapses happens because of the triggers arising from social media. Just closing everything won’t get you out, you need to get yourself busy on every aspect. Just ignore the trigger for any cost during initial stage. Porn thoughts will be gone in around a week or 2 ,if you’re lucky enough it’ll stop in a couple of days. But the thoughts of having you wanted to have s** will haunt you , I guess forever…

I m on day 33 my urges are on peak today help

Try to surf those urges, don’t fight it. Just sit back and watch the urges come and go. Being horny is natural, you’re human, but craving to watch porn is unnatural. Just remember you’ve come so far. All urges will eventually pass. Finding a distraction would also be a good way to dodge the urge. I’m telling you this while I’m having some mental urges too. I somehow just feel like watching some bikini girls on YouTube or something. But I know this is my brain trying to trick me into stepping in that wormhole that sucks you in and there’s no going back. Keep strong, we got this.

Porn on the mind… So it seems best to control your mind. Have you tried meditation?

For sure it’s a hard thing to have porn on the mind man but you should take comfort in knowing that you aren’t viewing and masturbating to it. As long as it’s in your mind only then that’s a great step. Actually viewing it can take you to worse places. Take care dude.

I think it works like a feedback loop.
From my own experiences: There were times when I had urges as strong as yours. But then there are (more recently) weeks when the thought never comes on my mind, and I don’t even get aroused or think of women at all.

Suggestions: Spend less time being alone and at home (being alone on a walk in the woods is fine and even good); the more connected I am with other people the less urge there is to watch ■■■■.
Increase your status in society - work out, get educated, and so on. This also helps.
I personally find a lot of help in Catholicism and the power of God, but I know this is not for everyone (ex. praying the rosary every day).

Also if quitting ■■■■ right away is too difficult, I would suggest first quitting video ■■■■ and instead visiting 4chan (boards like /soc/ and /sbw/) to see erotic images, but not videos.

Anyways, it really is possible to remove ■■■■ from your life completely and not even be tempted by it. A big trigger to watch it is loneliness, and thus fighting the feeling of loneliness will also temper your desire to watch ■■■■.

@germany-rock the answer seems obvious but difficult to do. Watch less ■■■■, or none at all.

If you watch ■■■■ at night you need to spend less time on your phone :iphone: or computer :desktop_computer:. Have you tried Journaling at the end of the day? This will help you evaluate your day and force you to think about other things. Maybe you can talk to someone before going to bed. Call someone and chat with them when your mind is constantly full of uncomfortable thoughts.

The less ■■■■ you watch the less likely you are to think about it. Let us know if it got better for you or cleared up okay?
