I am male 26 years old. I have been fapping since i was 15 years old(extremely addicted). I am not able to have streak 2 days long. Even 1 day is a challenge for me.
I always get triggered(urges) by TV(mainstream cable), youtube.
It seems to me that TV, youtube , advertisements are selling too much beauty where sometimes i feel it is done on purpose to make us addicted to porn/sex.
I don’t watch mainstream television, nothing really interests me on regular TV. I watch videos on YouTube though. But either way, you have to be careful. They are going to be triggers everywhere. Remember Sex sells! That’s how the TV industry does things and YouTube. Be cautious.
It’s full of triggers I agree brother,
I just deleted all stuff like insta, fb.
That’s the only advice I can give , delete all triggering social media it will make you relapse 100%.
I strongly recommend that every Nofap member go to gym and workout. It’s important to release all that excess energy. Trust me you will feel alot better. Plus a cold shower on top of that.
That’s not only true bro, but that’s also something via which majority of their earning comes from. So, they cannot stop selling that on TV, internet, even in newspapers and on sideway hoardings … What will you do? Even if you close your eyes to all of this, then there will be females in real life who’d trigger you senses and would make you want to do PMO.
I will try to give you a stepwise approach that you may implement:
Start with quitting TV. Its the easiest part, since all you have to do to stay away from TV is to just switch it off/ don’t go where its running.
Youtube- Since you need youtube for studies and I’m assuming that you’re watching it on your smartphone, then you do have an option of downloading videos on youtube app so that you can watch it even when you’re offline. Do that. Download all the necessary videos that you’d need and watch them without any ads, recommendations or any triggering thing. As an addition, you can even switchoff internet while you’re watching those videos.
Try to calm yourself down. You are very restless and impatient. There’s no need to be like that. Otherwise, you’ll get triggers from everywhere and won’t be able to quit this. You’ll have to learn to be indifferent to anything in life, including sexually suggestive materials. For this, you need calmness. For that, you can try mediatation, breathing exercises, and various different techniques that you can learn.
Learn to suffer. This is the most important part of this, man. The difference between who you are and who you want to be, is the difference between being a person who runs away from the mere thoughts of suffering and the man who bears sufferings like anything else. When urges come, stay with them but don’t act. Tell them," I know you’re here, but I would neither think about you, nor act on your behalf". They’ll pass out soon. Don’t think that you cannot endure it, just try and you’ll see that you’ll succeed. Of course, no one becomes World Champion the day they start to train. It’ll take time, and slowly but surely you’ll get there.
Remember that greatest of champions were made out of people who were struggling to win even the smallest of fights in the beginings. When people see them, they only think about their victories, but those champions know that those failures have taught them the most important lessons to win. Don’t be ashamed of yourself bro. We all lose, but we must fight back.
If it’s a trigger then cut that garbage off. It’s that simple.
Anything that’s detrimental to your life you cut it off.
There’s no need to negotiate with what makes you drown.
Leave that garbage.
I don’t waste my time with this garbage either.
Too much mainstream crap to lure in all these addicted individuals… All these dopamine addicts…lured in by feminine sexual content…
What a load of garbage!!!
Focus on what matters in your life. If there’s something for you to do on youtube, know what you will search before hand
I don’t randomly browse youtube. I know what I’m looking for. Maybe it’s a online course to learn programming language, or a video about something I need to know or have an idea about.
