But generally I don’t care if i will be have it or not. For me the most important is to stop porn and councious masturbation

Being in no Fap from 90 days, nightfall was frequent in the beginning. Nowadays when I am about to ejaculate in my dreams I come awake and am able to control 90% of it. I was about to have one yesterday and I controlled most of it.
But to instantly stop I need to learn kegel exercises. Any thoughts guys. I think if we control this we will not loose semen at all.

Start stop exercise right?

It’s my 22nd day and I didn’t have Nightfall so far.

Write us on if you experience. Because nightfall changes from person to person. For some it takes more than a month.

Hi Suraj, I have written about Nightfall to muliple threads. This was one of my opinion posted here

So far I have abstained myself from watching stimulating contnet online. This includes not watching movies, songs etc. And if in case I go and open Instagram page to watch a profile of an actresses due to my old compulsive behaviour I have made a rule to do 50 full prostrations with mindfullness. This is just to remind every cell in my body of what you get out of this compulsive behaviour. So considering how lazy I’m this has just happened to me once. Besides due to lockdown, I’m doing Vipassana meditation for 3-4hrs and reading Dhamma Books whole day which I think keeps the thoughts purer. About diet, I’m only having one meal and no food whatsoever after 5pm.

I wouldn’t say this to be a suppressed energy. Nightfall is just a by-product(smoke) from our sexual desire(fire) along with the thoughts(fuel) which is basically what we perceive in this world.

And incase you have been meditating for long time, these stray thoughts do come from anywhere and they are the thoughts which we have experienced in the first place.

That’s what I have been trying to say and explain the process is natural. And it can be avoided responsibly by changing whats in our head.

The best example being a garden. If you start gardening, one needs to keep removing the weeds out. You can’t just stop the growth of the weeds altogether.
Hope everyone is getting my point.

I went through your post brother. This was what my intention to create this topic. In the morning i was so depressed to know that i had a nightfall. I was considering it as a relapse. But many mates consider it as a natural process.

As i already said nightfall takes atleast 1% of involvement. Which has to be controlled and take complete advantage of celibacy.

I can understand your frustration bruh.
Even I am trying to get the most of the celibacy. I did willfully reset my streak after 99 days which had 6 nightfalls.
In this current streak of 25 days I had only one nightfall.

The only thing I understood its all in the mind. Its the only place which triggers it. We need to tend it first. Rest is upto god.

Well I completely agree. And by suppressed energy I mean what Buddha explained it by the term “Anusaya Kilesa” literally translated as ‘sleeping volcanoes’ or ‘like sediments waiting to be stirred up’. The mental defilements of sexual lust are so deep that they can only be uprooted after reaching ‘third stage of enlightenment’ also known as anagami stage.
Thanks for explaining it in a more scientific way. Sorry Engilsh in not my first language.

Suggest a book for the terms used by you.
I would love to go through it.

Search “dhamma texts by sayagyi u ba khin” u will get the pdf for free. You will get the outline. Some of the talks included in this had influenced many Westerners to come to Myanmar for meditation.
I think any Vipassana meditators(including admin of this forum) and Buddhists will understand what I’m saying. I’m a Hindu but got into Buddha’s way of life after attending 10 day Vipassana course. I think founder of Twitter also has done Vipassana in Myanmar and last in South Africa.

Was that 10 day course held in the outskirts of Bangalore?

No I had done it in Igatpuri, Pune and some other places. There are so many centres worldwide.
