[29M] Forerunner's Diary - Ascension to Greatness 🙇🏾

Bro, you are in a great position right now. You can be 10+ years free of this poison by the time you’re my age.

I was 15 when I seriously started making more of an effort to change. I was still struggling to reach 3 days clean, but I managed to make it 3 weeks around that time. If I had stayed committed and determined back then, life would have turned out dramatically different for me.

You don’t need any motivation to leave behind a drug addiction. We know deep down that our lives would be so much better without it. It gives nothing valuable to us and takes so much away. Stay focused, stay determined, work on your goals and create the best possible future for yourself.

@anon47554698 Glad you appreciated the post amigo!

We’ll continue to spread the message of how beautiful it is to be free. The main thing that has kept us all trapped in the past is the fear that we’re missing out on something, that we’re making some sort of sacrifice. Once that illusion is gone, the journey becomes much easier.

@Forerunner I need your advice. What I have learnt from my past mistakes is that I can easily overcome the urge to M but I cant control my urge to watch P . Is there any solution to the problem?

Hello, @Forerunner , I joined the forum again. Could you please reply to my above question when you are free?

It’s just your brainwashed mind playing game with you. If you will watch ■■■■ you will eventually masturbate may be you will control for a week or two but not more than that. ■■■■ is more harmful. So, focus on that. Although you should quit both.

Man, this is a superb app. Thank you brother @Ishant16

Good to have you back again brother. I know the difficulty and frustration of losing hope, it’s an unhappy place to be. I’m glad to see that you’ve regained some of your fighting spirit and will to carry on.

What you’ve realised is far more common than you think. Most of us on this forum are not addicted to masturbation. We don’t really care for it - without pornography, many of us never masturbate. There are some who masturbate to fantasy and mental images or past sexual experiences, but they are in the minority. It is the addiction to pornography that is the main challenge to solve for most of us here.

Yes, absolutely - you can control your urges to watch pornography.

Without a shadow of a doubt. Never think anything otherwise. You are in control of your body. No one can make you relapse against your will. If I come to you and load up a ■■■■ site on a tablet, shove it in front of you, you still have a choice. You can push me out of the way and defiantly say, I don’t watch that filth! There has never been a single urge in your entire life that was stronger than you. The problem is that we tend to have a stronger desire to give in to those urges and agree with the thoughts when they come. The best way I know of to remove that desire and reset our mindset for permanent success is the EasyPeasyMethod.

I can’t encourage reading the EasyPeasyMethod enough. Read thebooktoquitporn.com - it’s called that for a reason! Best advice on the Internet for quitting ■■■■ addiction, it’s less than 80 pages, and it’s completely free! So many new ideas and concepts that will bring a permanent end to your days of being an addict and prepare you to enjoy the rest of your life in freedom! You asked for a solution to the problem - this is the best one I know of!

@Forerunner brother, You made 200 + days streak once right? . Could you please tell what made you to relapse even after such a high streak ?

@Forerunner , Its okay not to reply, if it annoys you. Due to some reason, I have a strong belief that I can succeed this time. Not trying to be selfish, But my main motive of this question is to understand the mistake so that I wont repeat it in the future. Btw , I am just a noob with 9 day streak with 7 years of failure.

@anon87955785 Give me some time to respond brother  It’s only been a few hours since you asked.

There is only one reason why anyone relapses. Whether they are on day 0 or day 1000, the reason is the same. The desire to watch pornography and masturbate is greater during that moment than the desire to be free from addiction.

Unless we do the work to change our mindset regarding the addiction, we remain vulnerable to relapse. At the time - my 250+ day streak, when I relapsed, I didn’t even have ‘urges,’ in the typical sense. It would have been very easy to continue being free if I had the correct mindset back then. But, I didn’t. I was going through a rough period in my life and the thoughts came to mind that I was missing out. I resisted for a while but eventually peeked, and the cycle of addiction started over again.

This is why the Easy Peasy Method is so beneficial. It helps us break free of the illusion that we’re missing out or depriving ourselves of something pleasurable. With the correct understanding, we are free from day 1. We don’t need to wait for some arbitrary number like 30 days or 90 days or 1 year in order to be free from addiction. Once you are secure that you won’t do it again and you start living your life full of hope and joy that you’ve escaped the trap, it’s over.

Thank you @Forerunner brother, for your advice. Actually , I don’t know why , I am getting some hope out of nowhere. I use to cry and scream hard during Day 9 due to strong urges, But fortunately , even though I experience strong urges , I am getting a control out of this , being mindful than resisting it. So I decided to ask for advice of many people who has completed 90 + streak once, so that I can get some tips from them. Later I found my question a bit selfish, that’s why I responded in such a manner.

@anon87955785 Keep moving forward man. Let that hope grow, it’s the beginning of belief. You have to believe you can do this in order to be successful. Fear is the birth of every relapse, fear that we can’t survive the urges, fear that life is empty without the addiction, fear that we aren’t good enough, fear that we are missing out etc.

Speak positive words about yourself. Look up at my story in this diary. There were times I couldn’t go 24 hours without doing PMO. I was heavily addicted. If I can do it so can you. You are not a failure.
