[25M] Forerunner's Diary - Ascension to Greatness [0-90+]

Thank brother for the motivation. For my weakness today I have made a note to hold on to the next day. I really feel guilty but by praying for God’s help I am sure I can get back up and start over. Please help and motivation for me in the future.

God bless you :pray::pray:

Next time when you want to relapse… come here & write about it… if we are offline… dont worry … write your all thoughts in your personal diary and Give it more time…

Giving situation a plenty of time to think about it… makes it better for you to take a decision.

The more time you give yourself to think over it… It will become a choice.
And,
You will choose wisely in the end.

Congrats man to 90 days. It is amazing and encouraging to see people reaching it!

I also asked myself so many times, what we have to do to get rid of it. I thought, that there need to be a list of things which we have to follow and which should help us out of this. That’s why I started a list at some point. But the farther I got, the more I felt like the list is not a really good thing or not the right way to go. I don’t think that there is a 5-point list with simple things which we can exactly follow.

But at the moment, I do believe that there are 5 very basic things to consider. They are on a very basic level but I think everyone has to apply them to their own personality and problem. I feel like, everyone needs to apply at least the first 4. Can’t see how it should be possible without these :grinning:

These are my top 5:

  • Increase the priority of your real life. We always do, what has the highest priority to us. We need to love what we do in real live and we also need goals. Find hobbies which make you happy, get in touch with nature, try to find purpose in your job, so that you like doing it.
  • Decrease the priority of porn. Figure out why you wanna quit the addiction. The harms and negative effects

These two should allow you to get a better priority balance in life, you can see alternatives to porn. You stop to fight porn every single day

  • Find a way to handle the negative feelings. I guess we are all triggered by bad feelings. Tiredness, anxiety, feeling useless and so on. Porn gives us a way to flee the real-life problems.
  • Find a way to handle single, smaller urges. They will always occur. It’s small little actions we should make to a habit. Going out for a walk, short meditation, prayer and tiny things like these once we feel an urge. Everyone will have something else that works best
  • Get an accountability partner. The closer the person is, the better. A private message in the forum works better than shouting out in an impersonal post. Even better to have someone in a private messenger or real life.

These are the 5 rules I’m currently living after. I’m not yet on your level. But I feel that it starts to get better and better :blush:
I wanted to make a post about this at some point. But I don’t feel like I can do it before I reached 100 days.

Keep going man. You are amazing

Thank GOD for another day!

I need to spend some time reflecting on the next steps and re-affirming my commitments to the journey and continuing to improve daily. I’ve slipped up with my morning routine for the past few days, and that’s not good. I don’t want to sleep in; I want to be consistent. There are many great things to be doing each day. GOD willing, I will continue to improve.

Today, I was checking my emails and I received an explicit spam email with pornographic images. I was disgusted and deleted it straight away. A few seconds later, I realised what I’d just done and tears of gratitude rolled down my cheek. There are so many ways that event could have gone wrong; I could have decided that it wasn’t my fault for coming across the images but no harm in looking, right? Or been triggered enough to start searching for other material. But no, this life has become an automatic habit now. Thank GOD!

It’s time to make other areas of my life instinctual in the same way. Regular exercise. Completing daily tasks. Learning a language. The journey continues.

Always thank GOD for everything.

Day 92.

Does anyone on here know your email?
If some random person has your email, it could be a troll trying to tempt you lmao.

Also, congrats on 90!

@TheWillToLive Thanks bro!

Nah, but that thought did come to mind for a second. I’m sure it was legitimate spam mail.
