That is half of the story. The half that we see here on the forums. The face that we present to everyone when we are fed up of what this addiction has done to our lives. When we look at all the negative consequences we’ve experienced and just want to put an end to the suffering.

The problem is the other half. When we want to keep doing it. When we see it as the most pleasurable high of our lives, just like others look at heroin or vodka or gambling. When we aren’t ready to give up our little friend just yet.

This is the constant internal battle of the addict. He doesn’t even realise why he keeps committing slow suicide, consuming poison which destroys him more and more with each passing day. But he isn’t ready to stop. He still thinks he enjoys it. He still thinks it is worth the sacrifice.

It is nothing but drug addiction. A neurochemical boost in dopamine levels caused by viewing sexually arousing content that is full of novelty, accessible 24/7 and in endless supply for free. He gains nothing from the activity but the temporary satisfaction of withdrawal pangs/urges which were caused by the previous session of PMO. If he goes 3 weeks without it, he will realise that those pangs go away and his body will begin to reset itself, rebalancing his dopamine receptors so he can gain pleasure from the natural activities of life as non-addicts experience.

My objective is not to go to panic mode if I do something wrong or something goes wrong by itself.
I always do that. I did recover from my panic feel but I have to become more calm and collected in stressful situations.
