Feeling hopeless

I’ve been binging for about 3 weeks now. I can’t even go 1 day without porn and masturbating. I can’t sleep I’ve been stressed about my job… I just feel hopeless and want to be alone all the time! I feel like nothing is helping…

Hi @Sensh1nSeeker!
Don’t give up hope!
Binging is the worst!
First of all, identify what your triggers and your enabling tools are.
For me, I was most prone before sleeping and first thing in the morning when waking up.
What helped me is:

  1. Keeping my bedroom electronics-free. Only use your electronics where others can see you (family, public)
  2. Reading a book in bed to keep my mind occupied until I fall asleep.
  3. Minimize your time home alone! If you are with family, with friends, or in public, you can’t M!
  4. Daily rituals:
What’s helping me a lot is rising as soon as I wake up, do my bed, do stretches and some fitness.

Remember, you are reborn each day and every day is a blank slate which YOU paint.
Morning rituals (ex. Waking up at a certain time and arising immediately) puts you in control of yourself and in control of your day. Already you have achieved some small victories in your day.

Here are some quotes which I find useful:
secret of change is to focus all of your energy, not on fighting the old, but on building the new - Socrates

A mantra to keep in mind for aby situation in life:
THIS TOO SHALL PASS

Another mantra:
IMMERSE YOURSELF IN YOUR CHALLENGES

Never regret anything in life. You did something stupid? Shrug it off and never do it again. Lost something valuable? Forget about that and convince yourself you’ll get something way better and you will. Regret never helped anyone. It just adds to the load on your back. You can’t turn back time so when something is done don’t ask tell yourself I should’ve done this, I shouldn’t have done that. Tell yourself I will never do that same mistake again.

Don’t dwell on the past. All that matters is where you are now, and what you are going to do to get you from where you are to where you want to be. None of those actions will happen in the past, they happen right now.

For just one second, look at your life and see how perfect it is. Stop looking for the next secret door that is going to lead you to your real life. Stop waiting. This is it: there’s nothing else. It’s here, and you’d better decide to enjoy it or you’re going to be miserable wherever you go, for the rest of your life, forever.

Do what you can, where you are, with what you have. -Teddy Roosevelt

Best of luck! You can do it!

@Sensh1nSeeker find something to relieve your stress besides masturbating. Maybe exercise?

Try to cut off the fantasies. For me I tend to dwell on the last few things that I watched. I’m getting better at cutting fantasies off.

You’ll find rest from binging. Don’t give up.

@Sensh1nSeeker, to paraphrase @babadu, Every day is a blank slate, Every day! And every moment!

Also remember, you know what it feels like to suffer and what great compassion (co-suffering) you have with that.

It breaks my heart imagining others going through what I have and what they must be feeling like.

Don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill - and learn to step outside of yourself and recycle your emotions.
